Updike's Update:
The doors are open, the lights are on, the roaster is fired up and the coffee is brewing. Our retail store and cafe has been open since November of 2007 and we are finally putting the pieces together for our website. This site will be be chock full of coffee knowledge, brewing and roasting techniques, informative links and, of course, an online shopping cart.
A Little Bit More...
Updike's Newtowne opened its doors for business in November 2007. The operation is headed up by a husband and wife business duo, Mark and Stephanie Additon. Mark is UN's coffee roaster. While you'll usually find Mark keeping the fires burning at the roaster, Stephanie can be found pulling shots of espresso or pouring cups of this microroasted goodness for UN's delighted customers. UN's rapid popularity is due to something that just has to be tasted; it can only be quantified by the human palate.
